How much does it cost to play for Desert Ice Softball?
We practice at Jessie Owens Park located near the intersection of East
Broadway and Sarnoff, and other city parks depending on availability.
We have girls who are 12-15 years old, who live mostly on the East side of
Tucson. Some of our girls have only played competitive softball for a
couple years, many others have several years of competitive experience and have been a
part of Championship or All Star teams from Sahuaro Fastpitch. Our girls are not
only great softball players, but great students as well... Check out some of our
academic performance!
Desert Ice plays in ASA, TCS and USSSA tournaments, mostly in Tucson, Arizona.
We generally will only have 1-2 out of town
tournaments each season.
You will learn new skills and develop skills you already have. You will
be part of and function as part of a great team of players and coaches.
You will develop as a softball player and as a person, always exhibiting the
best sportsmanship on the field and off.
Contact one of the coaches listed in the Contact Us section of our website.
Each player must pay a $125 start-up fee as well as monthly dues. Our
dues cover the costs of tournaments, field rental, umpires and necessary
equipment. Desert Ice Softball is a non-profit organization and does not
profit from its players. A significant portion of our expenses are
contributed by our generous sponsors.
